Dear Parents and Carers
A big thank you to our Pre-Primary classes for their entertaining and educational assembly item this morning. This assembly is always a highlight of the year, as it provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect on how much our youngest students have grown and developed since the beginning of the year.
Congratulations to all our award winners from this week’s assembly!

End-of-Year Community Concert
We are excited to invite you to our End-of-Year Community Concert on Thursday, 5th December! The concert will begin promptly at 5:30 PM, and we encourage families to arrive from 5:00 PM to set up picnic areas.
Important Information:
- Student Participation:
Children will remain with their families until their year level is called to perform. After their performance, they will return to their families to enjoy the rest of the concert together.
- Supervision and Safety:
The Year 3–6 playground will not be available during the event. We ask that students stay with their families and refrain from running or playing. Concert etiquette means everyone should enjoy the performances together as a respectful audience.
Additional Highlights:
- Community Raffle:
The P&C will host a community raffle, with tickets available for purchase between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM. The raffle will be drawn during the concert—don’t miss out! - Out-of-School Hours Care Stall:
Our new out-of-school hours care provider, Big Childcare, will have an information stall set up. Feel free to visit the stall to meet their team and ask any questions about the new service.
Parking Information:
- Limited parking will be available on the old basketball court.
- We recommend using nearby streets for additional parking.
- If you park on the basketball court or in the Mint Street car park, please ensure you leave promptly at the end of the concert so the school grounds can be secured.
We look forward to celebrating a fantastic evening with our school community!
School Backpacks
We are fortunate to have received a donation of school backpacks from Costco. If your child needs a school bag for the upcoming school year, please visit the office to pick one up. Backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parent Volunteer Morning Tea
To all the amazing parents who have volunteered in any capacity this year: we warmly invite you to join the staff for a celebratory morning tea on Monday, 9th December, at 10:40 AM in the school library.
There’s no need to sign in at the office—simply head straight to the library. Whether you’ve volunteered as a member of the school board, participated in P&C events, served as a class parent representative, or assisted with class activities, we’d love for you to join us.
This is our small way of saying thank you for your invaluable contributions throughout the year. We hope to see you there!
Staffing for 2025
We are pleased to share that our school is fully staffed for 2025. With some staff members on leave without pay or maternity leave, we are excited to welcome two new members to our team:
- Kylie Adams, who will be teaching in our early childhood area.
- Anne Newman, who will also be joining the early childhood teaching team.
We look forward to another fantastic year with our dedicated staff and school community.
Class placements for 2025
As we approach the end of Week 6, with just four weeks left in the school year, planning for 2025 is well underway. As shared in previous newsletters, we sometimes have composite classes, where two year levels share one classroom. Since our funding is based on student numbers rather than year levels, composite classes are an important part of our structure.
Our staff carefully consider placements for the following year and aim to ensure that students aren’t in composite classes two years in a row, where possible. If your child is placed in a composite class, please approach it as a positive opportunity. We understand that some families have preferences, but we appreciate your support and positivity about these arrangements.
With fluctuating enrolment numbers, we are still determining whether we will add a class next year. Changes in enrolment may require adjustments early next year or even mid-year. Please let us know if your family will not be returning in 2025 by filling out the form below:
Semester Two Reports
At this end of this semester, all reports will be sent via email. It is important that we have your current email address on file so that you receive your child’s report. Please advise staff in the office if you have a change in email address at: eastvictoriapark.PS@education.wa.edu
Please read on for the student councillor messages share at assembly this morning:
Zane:
Hello, everyone! What a year it has been, and now we are at the last assembly!
I want to take a moment to invite all parents who have contributed to the school in any way this year—whether on the school board, at P&C events, sports carnivals, or other activities—to a special morning tea on Monday, 9th December, at 10:40 AM in the staff room.
Thank you for your support, and I hope all parents can attend. It’s been a wonderful year!
Annabelle:
Good morning, everyone! As you all know, the Community Concert and Awards of Excellence are just around the corner.
In your music classes, you’ve been practicing a song that connects to this year’s theme: Broadway! The concert will be held on Thursday, 5th December, starting at 5:30 PM and finishing at 7:00 PM. Teachers will provide your class with details about what to wear.
That’s all from me – have a great day!
Mira:
Good morning, everyone. As the school year comes to an end, it’s time to get excited for PBS Award Day! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, 11th December, when we’ll celebrate with class parties and water fun! Miss Moody will send an email next week with all the details.
As this is our last assembly, I’d like to say how much of an honour it has been to serve as your student councillor. Thank you to all the teachers and students for their support. Have a fantastic rest of the year!
Jess:
Hello, staff and students! Guess what? This is the last speech I’ll give at an assembly here because my time as a student councillor is almost up.
In less than two weeks, the Year Sixes will be graduating from East Vic Park and moving on to high school. The Year Fives, along with graduates’ families and younger siblings, will attend the ceremony. There will be awards, and the Year Sixes will also sing a special song.
I want to say how much of an honour it has been to be your student councillor. This is an amazing school, and I’ll always remember my time here. Thank you! Have a great weekend
