Redevelopment

In February 2009, both East Victoria Park PS and East Victoria Park ESC were granted funds through the Commonwealth Building the Education Revolution [BER] program. The E1 and E3 grant of more than $3 million combined has provided state-of-the-art facitlities that we are already utilising on a daily basis. The funding of the new buildings and refurbishing existing rooms now complements the vision of our school in both functionality and appearance.

The Architects responsible for the design of the new E1 facilities were JCY Architects. Construction of the project was completed on time by Building Solutions. The new buildings include the library, covered assembly area, music room, art/science room, canteen, sports shed and gardener’s workshops. The redevelopment will have a significant impact on the quality of our education programs and has provided our school community with outstanding facilities. The BER project has blended existing buildings with new modern innovative facilities thst will enhance our educational programs into the future.

The E3 refurbishment of existing rooms was coordinated by JCY Architects and project managed by Programmed Services. These works included exterior and interior painting, toilet tiling, carpets and lino and sandpit borders.

We would like to thank the Commonwealth Govt, ARUP, JCY Architects, Building Solutions, Programmed Services, Dept of Education WA, Building Management and Works, all contractors, staff, students, families and the community for your dedication, patience and commitment over the last six months. We are certainly proud of our new work and learning environment at East Victoria Park PS and ESC.

Our BER Recognition Ceremony occurred on Monday Sept 13. Senator Mark Bishop officially opened all new facilities.
