Newsletter 11 April 2024

Good morning, everyone

As we wrap up a busy and successful Term 1, I’d like to thank our school community for your ongoing support and involvement.

This morning, we held our ANZAC Day Service, and it was a truly moving and respectful event. We were honoured to be joined by special guests Ms Shannon Laya, our School Board Chair, Mr John Bissett, Secretary of the RSL Victoria Park-South Perth and Districts and Ms Eleanor Roberts, representing the Honourable Hannah Beazley MLA.

I was incredibly proud of the respect and maturity our students displayed throughout the service. Special thanks to our senior choir and band for their outstanding performances. A special mention also goes to Rachael, who played The Last Post and The Rouse – you were simply incredible. Congratulations on such a beautiful performance.

Thank you to Mrs Tuttle, Mrs Motherwell, and Mr Jones for all their behind-the-scenes work in preparing for the service. A big thank you also to our student councillors, who did a wonderful job hosting the event.

Mission Possible Carnival 2025 – A Day to Remember!

The energy was electric at our very first Mission Possible Carnival for our amazing Year 5 and 6 students! The day was packed with excitement, laughter, and loads of team spirit as students took part in a fantastic range of sports and team-building challenges.

From Slam Ball and Extreme Frisbee to Street Hockey, Race Ball, and the always-popular Amazing Race, there was something for everyone. The level of sportsmanship on display was incredible, and teamwork was the true star of the show. Students supported and encouraged one another, making the day not only fun, but also full of meaningful connection.

One of the highlights was seeing students take ownership of their teams—they chose creative team names, wore bright team colours, and proudly waved their homemade banners. The cheering, chanting, and laughter echoed throughout the day, making it an unforgettable experience for all involved.

A huge thank you to our wonderful teachers for their enthusiasm and support, and a very special shoutout to Mrs Walker, whose hard work and organisation made the entire event possible.

Mission Possible 2025 was a soaring success—we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
