Dear Parents and Carers,
As always, our music assembly is one of the most anticipated events on the school calendar. A big thank you to our incredibly talented and dedicated students, under the expert guidance of the equally talented and dedicated Mrs. Motherwell. Mrs. Motherwell, we are deeply grateful for your efforts in making our music program one of the best in WA primary schools.

Swimming Lessons

If you’re facing any difficulties with payments, please don’t hesitate to contact the office or me to discuss alternative arrangements. Swimming is an essential skill, especially for our Perth community, where we are surrounded by rivers, the ocean, and backyard pools.
Have a wonderful break, school commences on Monday 7 October.
Kind regards

Excitement for the Colour Run
Annabelle:
We hope everyone is just as excited as we are for this afternoon’s Colour Run! Make sure you’ve brought your white t-shirts and returned your notes so you can participate. The event kicks off at 1:45 pm and will go until the end of the day, giving you just enough time to dry off before heading home.
Remember, the top three classes that raise the most money will win a pizza party, and anyone who donates will be entered into a draw for a $300 gift card! There’s still time to donate – the link is on the Colour Run note. Have an amazing time this afternoon!
Interschool Carnival Results
Zane:
A big shout-out to everyone who participated in the recent interschool carnival! Our school placed third out of six schools – a fantastic achievement. We performed especially well in the throws, jumps, and running races, with several students being named champion boy or girl.
Could all the students who competed in the interschool carnival, as well as those who took part in the throws and jumps, please stand for a round of applause. Well done, everyone!
Gold Incursion Recap
Jess:
On Monday, September 16th, students from Rooms 7, 8, 9, and 10 had the opportunity to attend a fascinating gold incursion. Mr. Tom Miller came in to talk to us about gold, its uses, and even how every one of us contains 0.2 milligrams of gold!
A special thanks to Mrs. Walters for organising this event and to Mr. Miller for teaching us so much about gold – and for showing us gold toilets!
Junior Youth Group
A group of year six students has been meeting weekly on Tuesdays after school since the beginning of the year to build their capacities to become agents of change. They are going through a set of material focussed on the empowerment of junior youth. The group had two opportunities to meet during term breaks to roll up their sleeves and take part in a small service project they had identified.
To respond to a requests for a similar activity for younger children (grade 1-3) another group started recently in the context of a program for the spiritual education of children. The material used for these two groups has been developed by the Bahá’í community based on experience from around the world. Use of the material in public schools has been endorsed by the Department of Education and children’s involvement in the program is subject to parental approval.
Both groups will be involved in the planning of a family festival to take part on 28 September from 2:30pm onwards at Koolbardi Park. Contact Shabnam Nasheri (0413 087 237) regarding the junior youth program or Sarah Vader (0447 538 416) regarding the younger children program for more information on the classes and the family festival.

Wishing you a lovely final day of T3 and a well deserved school holiday break!
Kind regards
Shabnam Nasheri
