Communication Guidelines: A Reminder for Parents and Carers
At our school, we value strong, respectful partnerships between home and school. To support effective communication, we would like to remind families of our communication guidelines.
Meeting with Teachers
If you wish to speak with your child’s teacher about a concern or to discuss your child’s progress, please make an appointment. Teachers are not available for extended conversations during classroom drop-off or pick-up times, as they are focused on greeting students, preparing for the day, or safely dismissing the class. Booking a time ensures teachers can give you their full attention in a calm, private setting.
This does not mean you are not welcome in classrooms before and after school – we value your time and interest in what is happening in classrooms and encourage you to visit whenever you are able.
Respecting Working Hours
Please also remember that staff are not expected to respond to messages outside of normal working hours, and we ask that all families support our staff in maintaining a healthy work–life balance by respecting this boundary.
You can find our full Communication Guidelines on the school website. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a supportive and respectful school environment.
Reporting to Parents
A reminder that reports will be sent home on Monday, 30 June. Please contact the office to update your email address should you have changed details since last year.
Voluntary School Contributions – Thank You!
A big thank you to all the families who have already paid their School and P&C Contributions. These voluntary payments make a meaningful difference to what we can offer our students by helping to extend our budget beyond core funding. So far we have had 76% of our families make the payment – we would love to make it to 90%!!
Some examples of how your contributions help the children are to:
• Provide additional books for our library
• Replace worn-out or broken sports equipment
• Purchase equipment and resources for our early childhood classrooms
• Buy art supplies
• Contribute to lease payments for iPads and laptops
If you’re unsure whether you’ve made your contribution, feel free to contact our friendly office staff—they’ll be happy to help.

Lance – It’s here again! The Year 5 and 6 fun carnival is back. It’s renamed as Mission Possible – The Return. The teams and colours are still the same, except we’ll be splitting up into A and B teams. Please note that these aren’t based off performance. For this term, we will be playing The Amazing Race, Basketball, Volleyball, Quidditch, where unfortunately, we don’t have flying broomsticks, and Crazy Golf. It’s in 2 weeks’ time, enough to prepare yourself for the amazing adventures ahead. Notes will be passed on to the Year 5s and 6s for more information for parents about the carnival.
Premier’s Reading Challenge
Runs from 7 April to 27 June 2025
Students who log their reading achievements each week have the chance to win one of 200 weekly prizes, which include tech gadgets, book vouchers and e-gift cards. These weekly rewards recognise their dedication to the challenge.
At the end of the challenge students receive a certificate signed by the Premier celebrating and rewarding their amazing efforts.
For those who participated last year I have rolled over your registration. Parents please login to your account from last year and check that your child/ren are registered. If you don’t have an account and would like your child to participate, you can create a new account and register your child/ren via the link below Manage your account – Premier’s Reading Challenge.
Happy reading
