Good afternoon everyone

Assembly Highlights

Congratulations and thank you to Ms. Adams and Room 1 for their outstanding performance at this morning’s assembly!
Did you know that students in Room 1 speak 14 different languages at home? To celebrate this wonderful diversity, the class created a special song that included greetings in each of those languages. It was a beautiful way to share and celebrate the many ways Room 1 says hello—and a truly uplifting way to begin our school day.

Congratulations to this week’s award winners;

The senior choir has a busy but exciting Week 10 coming up, with the Massed Choir Festival just around the corner. The students will have a full-day rehearsal on the 24th of September, and the big show will be held on the 25th of September at 7 pm. This program will showcase all the amazing hard work these students have put in.

Next week, we have the interschool carnival, where five schools will be coming to compete with our school. That makes six schools altogether, including us. Please stand up if you’re competing or helping. We wish the best of luck to all of you—try your very best!

After lots of hard work in the Book Builders Challenge, it’s finally time for our work to be showcased at the Town of Victoria Park Library for the Book Builders Challenge Book Launch, on Tuesday the 23rd of September. The Year 5s will have their individual book launch session from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, and the Year 6s from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. There will be media, VIPs, and even the chance to get your hands on some professionally printed copies of the winning books. For parents, family, and friends, tickets are limited, so go to the Vic Park Library website to book your seats.

The last day of term is approaching fast, and it’s going to be fun! In the morning, we’ll have our music assembly, where the senior choir, junior choir, senior concert band, and junior dance troupe will perform. We’re so excited to see these performances and can’t thank Mrs. Motherwell enough for all the effort she has put in.

In the afternoon, we’ll have the Colour Run, which is being organised by the P&C and PBS teams. Forms have gone home to let you know how to help fundraise for the P&C and to get permission signed to participate. If we reach the fundraising goal, the school will be able to purchase awesome things like new moveable soccer goals. Don’t forget to bring a pair of sunglasses or eye protection to wear on the day, as well as a white shirt!
