Staffing Update
We are currently in the final stages of recruiting our new Deputy Principal, and we expect to finalise the appointment in the coming week. In the meantime, Mr Jones will return to teaching in Room 7 from Monday. We sincerely thank Mr Jones for stepping into the acting role over the past six weeks. His leadership, communication, and support for both staff and students have been outstanding.
We’re also pleased to share that our school has received additional staffing (0.2 FTE – the equivalent of one day per week) through the Department of Education’s new Small Group Tuition Program. As part of this initiative:
- We welcome Miss Sophie Bennett to our team. Miss Bennett will release Mrs Krieg to lead the Small Group Tuition Project.
- Mrs Kylie Adams will take on a Learning Support Coordinator role, one day per week and Miss Bennett and will be co-teaching in Room 1 each Wednesday for the remainder of the year.
We are excited about the opportunities these changes bring to continue supporting student learning across the school.
There are a few other staffing changes this term, and we’re pleased to share the following updates:
- Mrs Lynda Fenton will be on Long Service Leave for the remainder of the term.
- Marisa Edwards will step into the Manager Corporate Services role during Lynda’s absence.
- Congratulations to Sharon Moe, who has been appointed to the permanent School Officer position and will be working Thursdays and Fridays.
- Seonaid Clough will be in the office Monday to Thursday this term, backfilling an extra day for Marisa.
- We welcome Cara Maxwell, who will be backfilling for Marisa Monday to Wednesday and Friday.
- Tiesha Menner has joined us for her final teaching practicum in Room 14, hosted by Mr Thurston.
Cleaning Team Updates
- Welcome back to Adele Patriana, who has returned from maternity leave.
- Pauline Wilson is currently on leave, and Gyem Thinley has joined the team, backfilling her role.
We thank all staff for their ongoing flexibility, commitment, and support. A warm welcome to our new and returning team members – we look forward to a great term ahead!
Enjoy the weekend
Kind regards
Kim Knowles
