Good afternoon, everyone
This morning, we were treated to the most wonderful music assembly, showcasing the incredible talent we have at our school. I am so proud of our students and grateful for the vibrant program led by Mrs Motherwell. From the band to the junior and senior choirs, and the junior dance troupe, it was a joy to see such creativity and dedication on display. A huge thank you to our parents for your continued support of the music program—we could not do it without you.
Planning for 2026
If your children will not be returning to EVPPS in 2026, please advise us by email at eastvictoriapark.ps@education.wa.edu.au.
Camp 2026
The Year 6 teaching team, together with the wider staff, has undertaken a comprehensive review of our current camp structure.
From 2026, we will be moving to a program of high-quality day camps. This model retains the most important benefits of camp experiences—adventure, teamwork, and shared memories—while better aligning with our educational priorities and logistical considerations.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 6228 0700. Thank you for your support as we make this transition.
Class Placement Policy
The School Board has ratified our Class Placement Policy. It is now available on the EVPPS website in the Policy section.

Our Senior Choir has had a very busy few days, with a whole-day rehearsal on Wednesday, the big show on Thursday night, and a few performances today. The Massed Choir Festival was a big hit, and the audience was captivated by our amazing voices. This week’s music assembly was also a crowd favourite, featuring the Senior Concert Band, Junior and Senior Choirs, and the Junior Dance Troupe. We would like to give a huge thank you to Mrs Motherwell for making this such a magical musical term.

On Wednesday this week, the Year 5 and 6 students went on an excursion to the East Victoria Park Library. We had such an amazing and exciting time! We voted for the Audience Choice Award, found out the winners and runners-up of the challenge, and even received show bags. The winner of The Book Builders Challenge was Hugo and the runners-up were Luna, Fatima, and Aringou. Congratulations to all of them for their incredible efforts, and a huge thank you to Kristy Nita-Brown for hosting the challenge.

Last week, some of our students represented our school in the Interschool Throws and Jumps and Athletics Carnivals. The events were lots of fun, but what really stood out was competing against others while showing teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship. After two days of hard work and dedication, our school came 4th overall out of 6 schools. We’re really proud of all our competitors and can’t wait for next year’s carnival!

Today is going to be so much fun—we’re doing the Colour Run! We’ll run, walk, skip, and maybe even dance through clouds of colour. We’ll get covered in bright shades of pink, blue, green, and yellow. It will be amazing! We’ll laugh with our friends, cheer each other on, and enjoy every single moment. Our teachers and parents will be helping us stay safe and happy, and we’ll thank them with big smiles and high-fives.
Just a reminder: Monday 13 October is a pupil free day, so we’ll see everyone back at school on Tuesday 14 October.
We were lucky enough to have Zaneta Mascarenhas MP, the Federal Member for Swan, at assembly this morning to gift the school some new flags.
