Welcome to our newsletter Week 10

It has been a very unconventional Term 2, but as a whole-school community we have weathered the storm together. The staff at East Victoria Park Primary School wish to thank all families for their amazing support and understanding over the last semester and wish everyone a happy and relaxing time over the school holidays.

Just a reminder that students return for Term 3 on Tuesday 21st July.

NAIDOC / PBS Assembly

We started the week with a lovely NAIDOC / PBS assembly and were treated to a wonderful poem, beautiful Girls Aboriginal Dance and a stirring and meaningful song sung by both our combined Junior and Senior Choirs. The students looked fantastic in their NAIDOC T-Shirts. A big thank you to Miss Coulter-Nile, Mr Ranford, Mrs Motherwell and Mrs Brewer for arranging the assembly. It was a great way to start the week.

Room 9 & 10 Assembly

Congratulations to Miss Goodwin, Mrs Rundle and all of the students from Room 9 & 10 for putting on a very entertaining “80’s themed” assembly this morning. Room 9 & 10 took us on a stroll down memory lane (some good and some cringe worthy memories), then finished off with a musical treat of some of the classic hits from the 80’s.

Reporting to Parents – Semester 1

Student reports will be emailed to parents this Thursday. Just a reminder that due to COVID disruption, the Education Department has requested that schools do not add student grades. Students will still receive a comment for English, Maths and General. Please take the time to chat to your children about their reports and remember to give them a pat on the back for all the amazing work they have done in Semester 1.

Have a wonderful holiday break.
