Perth City Ballet Incursion
Staff and students were treated to an amazing performance from Perth City Ballet last week. The performers showcased a number of dance genres including Ballet, Contemporary, Tap dancing and even Hip-Hop, with a number of lucky students being invited on stage to take part in the performance. Thank you to Mrs Motherwell for organising such an energetic incursion.
On Thursday, selected students from our senior classes took part in the Interschool Summer Carnival. Our students gave it their best and showed fantastic sportsmanship while versing other schools in Volleyball, Cricket and Tee-Ball. East Vic Park came away with a pretty good win/loss record for the day and enjoyed the time outdoors playing sport with friends. A big thank you to Mr Ranford, Miss Matthews, Miss Chai, as well as parent helpers Donelle and Kylie, for supporting our teams on the day. Thanks to all the parents who came down to cheer on the students as well.
Hawaiian Giving Box Appeal 2020
It’s that time of year again…the Hawaiian Giving Box Appeal! The act of giving has been found to make people happier, improve their health, feel more socially connected and grateful. All these benefits align perfectly with our Term 4 PBS lesson series: “Healthy Hero.” Key dates regarding the Giving Box Appeal process are below:
Week 6 – Information regarding donation requirements will be distributed to students.
Week 7 – The Giving Box Appeal will kick off in classrooms on Monday 23rd Nov.
Week 9 – The Giving Boxes will be collected on Monday 7th Dec.
Team work makes the dream work! Let’s work together as a school to spread the joy of generosity to others.
Thank a School Traffic Warden Day – Tuesday, 17th November 2020
This Tuesday, 17 November is “Thank Your School Traffic Warden Day.”
If you use the Mint St Crosswalk, don’t forget to wish Susan, our wonderful crosswalk attendant, a happy day and thank her for ensuring we get across the busy street safely every morning and afternoon.
Not Returning 2021?
Believe it or not, planning is already underway for 2021. It is important that families let the school know if they will not be returning to East Victoria Park Primary in 2021. This needs to be done in writing and can be handed in to the front office or emailed via the school email address at EastVictoriaPark.PS@education.wa.edu.au
School Board Open Meeting
Just a reminder that the next School Board meeting will be an open meeting where any interested parents may attend. It will be held on Monday the 23rd Nov, starting at 5.30pm in the staffroom.
